Gears of War: Exile – Cancelled

In early 2011 rumors had it that Epic Games were in development of another GoW game known as Exile. What added fuel to the fire was the fact that on January 2011 a trademark for Gears of War: Exile surfaced on the US Patent andTrademark office website, which more or less added a factual support for the rumors to lean on.

However, it has all come to an end with Epic Games design director Cliff Bleszinski confirming that such a game was in the process of being made but has since been canned, telling Gamespot at PAX East

“Let’s just bury the hatchet now. Gears of War: Exile was an unannounced game that I can’t give any details about that has since been cancelled.” – Cliff Bleszinski

It was rumored to be a more Kinect-centered gaming experience but as the project is now canceled, GoW fans can only speculate.
