New Batman Game on the horizons?

Could it be, a new Batman video game? According to Variety, it’s not just a rumor with a follow up to the Arkham City game due for release in 2014 “at the latest”. The new game is supposedly going to be set in the Silver Age of DC’s comics from the 1950s, where Batman not only teams up with other Superheroes to form the Justice League of America, but also encounters the Joker for the first time.
Furthermore, it’s alleged that Mark Hamill will not be returning to provide the voice for the Joker, which, if true, is surely going to disappoint fans of the franchise. Mind you, these all are rumors at this point. We have reached out to RockSteady Studios to see if they could shed a bit more light on the topic, but at the time of press, they have yet to respond. I don’t know about you, but if these rumors are true, I am a very excited banatic… Get it? Oh, whatever.
