Ubisoft announces a fighting game, Spartacus Legends

Ubisoft just announced Spartacus Legends, a new fighting game based off of the Starz television show of the same name. The game aims to place gamers in the sandals of a gladiator, from training in the Ludus to participating in bloody bouts in the Arena. Ubisoft boasts that the game has “thousands of ruthless weapon combinations” as well as a deep skill system, giving you the tools you need to customize your gladiator and dismember your foes. Also announced is an online multiplayer in which you can battle your friends as Spartacus, Crixus, or one of their own created gladiators.

Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t this sound like a gladiator themed UFC? Really, it’s fine with me, I loved Gladius on the Xbox. It has a great premise and I can’t wait to see more. On the subject of seeing more, it will be demoed at Comic-Con tomorrow so be sure to keep a steady eye on the Latest News section of Nizulo, as we’ll update you as soon as we see more.

Currently, Spartacus Legends is scheduled to be released early next year on Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network.
