OnLive’s saviour finally has a name

image

It seems OnLive really has dodged Death as its knight in shining armor finally has a name. Venture capitalist group Lauder Partners, LLC – headed up by veteran tech investor Gary Lauder – is the group responsible for snatching OnLive’s behind out of the cold, boney hands of Death. During an announcement, OnLive representatives described Lauder Partners’ Gary Lauder as a “very accomplished and well known venture capitalist” and noted that the new company will retain almost half of their original staff.

OnLive also reiterated that “users should see no change in the OnLive Game or Desktop Services,” and stressed that all of their purchases will “remain intact and available.” The announcement also brought about stats on OnLive’s userbase, which “has over 2.5 million subscribers, with an active base of over 1.5 million subscribers.”

Meet Rich Bloomfield

Rich is the founder and editor-in-chief of Nizulo. He's an 80's baby, raised on a strict diet of Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, and Street Fighter, and while he occasionally fed on Sonic, his palate never truly appreciated that taste. Now, the big bastard eats anything and everything, with Red Dead Redemption being his favorite taste so far.
