Sleeping Dogs releases today, with 6 months of DLC to follow

Square Enix announced today that the support for their gritty, open world cop drama will not stop after release. They actually have a six month plan for DLC releases. The first in the line of DLC releases will be available at launch, today for North America or August 17 in Europe and other PAL territories.
There is said to be a range of DLC available at launch to give players an edge over their enemies. The first one that was detailed is the 80′s inspired ‘Retro Triad Pack’, a “killer old school outfit with its own player buffs and funky kung-fu van.” More content is planned for release in September, starting with a ‘Racing Pack’ and ‘Swat Pack’. More details are to be released in the future, but expect more content on the way.
“SLEEPING DOGS is a game we know fans will want to keep on playing, so over the next six months we’ll be creating a series of new content packs giving players everything they need to keep enjoying the game,” said Lee Singleton, General Manager, Square Enix London Studios. “We want to create something to suit everyone’s play style from cool cars and high-speed missions to outlandish outfits and game-extending mission packs. The game launch is just the beginning.”
