The PC version of Sleeping Dogs will be optimized for PC play

A lot of PC gamers get upset when they see that a cross platform game was merely “ported” to the PC platform. Bethesda’s Skyrim is the latest notable game to fall prey to a poorly designed PC experience. It was plagued with a UI that was a direct replica of the console version, with no optimization for use with the mouse and keyboard.
Well, never fear PC gamers, for Square Enix released today a trailer showing how far they went to optimize Sleeping Dogs for the PC platform. In fact, it will be launching with a host of features exclusive to PC, including a day one hi-res texture pack, full support for our trusty friends the keyboard and mouse, and support for the latest AMD and Nvidia features.
Check out the video below for the full list of optimizations, voiced by Kyle Stallock, Community Manager for Sleeping Dogs, and be sure to let us know what your thoughts are in the comments section. Are you as impressed with the effort that Square Enix and United Front Games is putting into the game as we are?
