Battlefield 4 Stats and Premium Membership Will Transfer from Current-Gen to Next-Gen

BF4-Carryover-Stats-Current-Gen-Next-Gen

EA will make it easy for Battlefield 4 players to transition to next-gen consoles, as stats, rank, unlocks and Premium membership will carry over from the Xbox 360 to Xbox One and the PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4.

EA has just announced that Battlefield 4 players on PS3 and Xbox 360 will be able to transfer not only their stats, but their Premium membership as well, to next-gen consoles. This is great news for gamers like me, who lack a high-end PC, but want to experience Battlefield 4 as soon as possible.

Put simply, it means that all the time and effort you invest won’t be wasted, as your stats, unlocks and rank will carry over from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One and from the PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4.

Furthermore, the game’s developer DICE is promising, with Premium membership, themed digital expansion packs, new weekly content, and personalization options. And just as your stats will be transferable current-gen to next-gen, so too will your Battlefield 4 Premium membership. I’ve contacted EA to see if the same can be said if players upgrade from PS3 to Xbox One, or Xbox 360 to PS4, and at time of press, have yet to hear back.

For your first look at Battlefield 4 Premium content, be sure to tune into EA’s 2013 gamescom press conference on Tuesday, August 20 at 10:00am EST (Wednesday, 12am Midnight AEST).

So what are you planning to do? Buy it on both current-gen and next-gen consoles, or just once on PC? Let us know down below.
